If the Nitrogen Oxygen Sensor is broken, it will no longer burn urea. Damage to the nitrogen and oxygen sensor will also lead to failure to refuel, insufficient power, CAN line communication failure and other failures. You can use the urea pump test bench or the NOX sensor test function on the decoder for testing. A qualified test result indicates that the sensor is normal, and an unqualified test result indicates that the sensor performance is poor.
The Nitrogen Oxygen Sensor is used to measure the value of nitrogen oxides in the diesel engine exhaust to know whether the emissions exceed the standard. It is then transmitted to the corresponding control unit through the CAN line to adjust the injection of urea solution to achieve closed-loop control. It is generally composed of sensors and control module circuits. Once the nitrogen and oxygen sensor is broken, it will have a series of effects on the car:
1. If the nitrogen and oxygen sensor is damaged, it is a key component for measuring excessive diesel vehicle exhaust gas. If it is damaged or works poorly, it will directly cause multiple engine fault lights to light up. At the same time, there will be relevant fault storage records in the control unit;
2. If the nitrogen and oxygen sensor is damaged, the diesel control system will be in an open-loop state, which means that the emission data cannot be accurately fed back, and the engine control unit will not be able to accurately adjust the emissions. At this time, the vehicle's emissions must exceed the standard. If it continues to exceed the standard, the life of the exhaust emission treatment equipment will be shortened;
3. If the Nitrogen Oxygen Sensor is damaged, the diesel combustion control will be disordered, resulting in the vehicle being unable to accelerate, vibrating at idle speed, and unable to start.
